2003 Zr2 brakes
Hello New member here. I have an 03 zr2. Blew a brake line and ended up replacing all of them. Now I cannot bleed these dang brakes!! I've searched the site and tried gravity bleeding. Vacuum bleeding. Engine running not running. Ignition on accessory. Nothing is working. Had a spare master cylinder so I replaced it. Same result. Could the abs be causing all this?? I'm stumped please help!!

I have just gone thru something similar and the correct answer is use an advanced scanner and have the ABS cycle thru it's paces. Then bleed the brakes.
I had success by cracking the ABS output lines and having an assistant push the brake pedal. I should mention it was done one line at a time. Then rebled the 4 calipers.
This restored pedal with the engine running .

Thanks for a quick reply!! I tried cracking the lines at outlet of abs seemed like I was barely getting any fluid thru the abs however there was fluid from master cylinder so I know it was at least getting to it. I don't have a scanner capable of doing that. hat kind do I need? . This is by far the most ridiculous brake system I've dealt with. I've done a lot of brake lines and never had this kind of problem.

I had the same problem with my 2003 2 door 4WD. A simple replace the pads project turned into a replace the calipers and pads and that turned into the nightmare of bleeding the brakes causing problems with the ABS system. The one man procedure didn't work for me, so I had to take it to a good independent shop and they had the ABS scanner that allowed them to bleed the brakes properly. The brakes now work fine and stop straight and have a firm pedal. I was happy with the result.
