ABS recalled Switch? Need it explained to me please

I am having long stop distances when the ABS kicks in (very scary!!)..I ran across this recall on my 1995 Jimmy 4x4...Trying to figure out exactly what switch they are talking about? What is it called? Where is it?......also I didn't know the 4x4 system had anything to do with the ABS? I would love to know...I feel I am definitely going to learn something new today

Consequence
IF THIS OCCURRED AT A TIME WHEN MINIMUM STOPPING DISTANCE WAS REQUIRED, A VEHICLE CRASH COULD OCCUR WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING.
