2004 blazer zr2 front bearings

Are we all on the same page, we are trying to get the hub off correct? You got the three bolts in the back off, abs sensor is out hanging someplace, caliper, hanging someplace by a big zip tie or duct tape. Rotor someplace dry. Hub-nut cotter pin out, 36 mm nut off ect.....

mkm1387, There is a dimple in the center of the axle that can be used for breaking the splines loose from the hub if necessary. Place a brass drift in the dimple and smack it with a hammer. It is only designed for breaking the splines loose. There is not enough inward linear movement of the axle to disengage the axle from the hub. Once the splines have broken loose from the hub is when you use a slide hammer, if necessary. If the last guy put anti seize on the splines: once the axle nut is removed you can push the axle in with your thumb!

spittybays, I sure hope we're all on the same page Your steps are spot on with one exception.... no cotter pin, just a washer and the 36mm nut.
