Default 2004 S10 Blazer Headlights Stay on

After turning off my Blazer the headlights are staying on. My dash cluster is only working part of the time. When it's not working my headlights go off, but when it works my headlight stays on. Oh, and I only have high beams. I'm not sure if it's the bcm or what. I had this happen earlier and I think I pulled the fuses and removed the battery cables and it reset, but I'm not having any luck this time. Any help with be appreciated.

Is it the high beams or perhaps the daytime running lights being on? The DRL circuit puts the high beams in series to run them at a lower intensity. I had this happen once. I think the BCM got "confused" with the order I removed the ignition key and opened the door. Have you tried disconnecting the battery for an hour and then hooking it back up again? You might check the DRL and Headlamp related relays.

In addition to Christine's suggestions, what happens if you disconnect the headlight switch in the dash?

It is the daytime running lights, but only my high beams work on both. I disconnected the battery overnight to no avail. Today I had no problems with it at all, got home parked it, no lights on, then about an hour later, my lights were on again. I thought about pulling the light switch and swapping it out to check. Also when I pulled the DRL relay, the passenger light stayed on but the drivers went off.

I'm going to pull the one out of my 03 Blazer and see if it works.
