231 conversion help
I put a 1996 n231 TC, floor shifter and console in my 1995 blazer, now for my problem. The console has a 4wd indicator display built into it,there are two electrical plugs on the back, one goes to the manual 4wd shifter the other has 5 wires and i'm guessing it tied into the main harness. I'm trying to find out what those 5 wires do so I can hard wire them in.Thanks for any help,as there is not alot of info on this console.

RE: 231 conversion help
I would bet that one goes to the front axle switch, probably a ground, and then there would likely be an illumination wire. That is just off the top of my head... Did the console come from an s-series truck?

Blazer ZM6 ? What option was that? I wish mine was the manually shifted version. I may have to look into this.

RE: 231 conversion help
ZM6 is the off-road suspension package,one notch below a ZR2,granted thats a large notch.
I don't thinkZM6 automatically means floor shift 4X4.I'm going to go back to the junk yard friday
and get the glove box door to decode it.
