4 wheel drive doesnt engage

Default 4 wheel drive doesnt engage

I have a 96 blazer and when i push the button to engage 4x4 it clicks but doesnt engage! anyone else have this problem?

I had a 93 gmc and it did this and it was the encoder motor on the bottom of the transfer case It was 300.00 from dealer or try junk yard

If you have the 3-button switch in the dash, you have the NV233 transfer case and can run through the procedure for checking TCCM codes listed in the OBD2 Non-Automatic Transfer Case Diagnostics thread.
