4L60e De-Coder
Hello,
Went to a local transmission repair shop for a rebuild of my '97 Blazer 4.3,LT (4L60e) .
Instead of rebuilding the tranny, (I supplied the KMJ Torque Converter), they the shop installed a Salvage 4l60e , not the same one by far this one has a heat shield, deeper oil pan , larger bell housing. Can anyone lead me in the right direction on how to decode these Serial numbers?
Trans. Assy: 7SHD 112J 1958 4816
Bell Housing, 24206579
Tail Housing, 242 oo 875 5
Tranny Code (Driver's Side) 49
Pass. Side, GMPT , 4L60E
On top of that they let their kids Hotrod it and put 176 miles on it.
Any business that does this to a Disabled USMM, needs to be shut down!
