Default 4WD and A/C compressor fuse related?

I recently pulled the A/C compressor fuse (old/bad compressor-do not need). and the next day had a snow storm and the 4WD didnt engage(indicator light worked)---after jiggling vacuum hoses and pushing 4WD buttons on and off repeatedly and reinstalling the fuse the 4WD is back-----Could the FUSE have had ANYTHING to do with 4WD not engaging? Storm is gone so I cant just remove the fuse and test in snow ---Just want to be ready for next one...... its a 96Blazer

There are two ac compressor fuses - 4 and 14 in the IPFB. 4 also provides power to the Transfer case switch and the transfer case control module

AHA---Thank You Very Much, George----So I guess I'll just pull the connector at the compressor to disable it?
