Default 4wd fixed..but not so much

Hey guys,

Check this. Just spent 500 on a mechanic who spent three weeks changing the encoder motor and a TCCM ( previous thread).

Anyways, it's fixed, but really isn't. Before I took it to the mechanic, it was stuck in 4wd. It is now in 2wd and will shift to 4hi or 4 lo and back to 2wd..as it should.

Well, after a few mins of driving, the 4wd service light comes on and it’s stuck in whatever gear it’s currently in. The mechanic knows this, he told me as he was taking 500 from me ( it was to the point with him that I was so fed up I just wanted my ride back). But, at first, I could just cut the blazer off and it would be fine ( I could switch between gears). I think he said it was spitting out the C0300 - Rear Propshaft Signal Circuit Malfunction code. ( read the info about this code, not too sure how to check it without taking it to another mechanic)

I take it to a , what seemed to be a construction site, didn’t see any “ NO TRESPASSING” ..to test the blazers newly regained 4wd. Works fine, until I go to take it out of 4wd and it goes to 2hi and then the light pops up.

I go home, negate the pos/neg battery cables, remove the 10a 4wd fuse, and bash the New TCCM, haha….put everything back..it works?!

Seems very tempermental or is this the TCCM doing it’s job once it reads the code?

Any help is needed/wanted/ushered/begged. I’m not taking it back to the mechanic, I can’t afford it. I’ve had a trip planned for 4 months on going to the OB to drive in the sand for 9 days..haha So needless to say, I don’t want to get screwed..

Thanks again as usual,

-HP

ps I’ve got a 1999 Blaze. 4 dr AUTO4wd..I need a sig./cig.
