Default 4wd vacuum pod

I just received a Dorman 4WD vacuum pod. I know Dorman is China made now but was hoping for a better product. Although it says OEM replacement, there is no return spring in it. The rubber diaphragm seems pretty cheesy. Is this going to work OK and last or fail in a year or two. What is a reliable brand to buy? 2001 ZR2. Thanks.

They make an “improved” version. I didn’t try it though. Sent it back and went the Posi-Lock route. I went through 1 a year of the original doorman. Got tired of it.

4x4 Posi-Lok PSL500 Axle Disconnect https://a.co/d/5X0vogX

it does away with the vacuum actuator system and is a straight shot to lock the front up.
I installed it in 30 minutes, now my 4x4 works every time. I can take some pictures and show you.

OK So basically a cable operated system. I'll keep that in mind. Was already thinking about something like that. So that is made for a 2nd gen. Blazer? Comes with instructions? A photo or 2 would be appreciated. Thanks. Merry Christmas...
