4x4 Buttons

I have a 2001 Blazer LT. My 4x4 buttons are not working. Nothing at all. Could this be some stupid wiring issue?

The first things to check would be your fuses.

Question about this... should the 2 wheel light always be on when in 2 wheel mode? Mine comes on when i start the truck but then goes off. The other's stay on when i select them, but normal driving..there are no lights lit.

Hmmn, i suspect it's just the light then...because i've switched to 4 hi before and then back to 2 and the 4hi light goes out. I know i'd know if i was driving around in 4hi... but possibly not in auto.
