Default 4x4 encoder motor install.

I am having issues lining up my new encoder motor. Transfer case is currently in 4wd. It does not slide on like it should, I’ve tried moving input shaft around to transfer case to make it fit. The new one is an exact match to the old. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Vice grip on the shaft and make the sob turn till it goes on one way or another. Put your transmission in nuereal so it's unloaded AND RECONNECT 4 PIN CONNECTION LAST TO AVOID COMMUNICATION PROBLEMS.
