Hi..have a 99 Blazer 4x4 ..4.3l..automatic..The Low Fuel and Battery Lite is on the dash..there was no gauges working except oil and amp..I found the 4x4 fuse blown so replaced it and it cleared everything up on the dash.As soon as I turn truck off and restart it again it blows the fuse..I replaced the fuse again 10amp..and just turned the ignition switch once..notstarting the engine and fuse blew again..any thoughts? Thanks in advance guys.

 

Welcome to the forum.....the fuse is only blowing in the run position because it only has power supplied to it in the run position (from the ignition switch)...here is the schematic..you have a wire or a component on this circuit shorted to ground. Please notice that there are 2 differnt possibilities here If you have electric or manual shift. start by disconnecting each one of the COMPONENTS listed in this diagram and after each one see if the fuse still blows.....if you get the fuse to stop blowing then it is the component that you have disconnected that is shorted and you need to replace it....if it still blows after all of them are disconnected (most likely) then it is a wire (brown circuit #241shorted to ground.
