Default 4x4 issues

my four wheel drive was working on my 1999 Blazer but the actuator boot was ripped on it. The transfer case switch was letting transmission fluid by it so i changed both of the parts. Before i changed these parts im pretty sure that it was engaging into 4x4 but now that i have changed these parts the front drive shaft is engaged and the light is on stating that it is in 4x4 but it dont act like it is and if i take it to some loose dirt and hold the brake only the back wheels will spin so im sure the front axle isnt engaging. I made sure that the vacuum lines matched up the tab on the switch. I also noticed that who ever the idiot was that owned it before me must have changed the transmission in it and screwed up all the wiring so does any one know what the 4 wire harness is that connects next to the shift linkage on the transmission, there is also another harness that connects to the same part but i noticed a wire broke off that harness and it was a brown wire. Before when i shifted gears it would only light up for park reverse and neutral but after trying to fix the wire none of them light up now. The idiot before me decided to break off all the clips and super glued all the plugs back in, so im thinking when i took it back apart i may have broke something but it still shifts into all gears so if i dont get that fixed its not really a big deal. any help would be helpful since this is my only vehicle and winter is coming

Default 4x4 issue solved

If you ever change a vacuum switch in the transfer case dont ever assume that it is going to work. after checking everything and tearing everything apart I figure out that the vacuum was leaking around the ball of the switch and wouldnt create any vacuum to the actuator. As for the shifter lights on the instrument panel that hasnt been fixed, every once in a while i can get the park reverse and neutral to light up but nont drive 3rd 2nd or 1st. if you have any ideas on this let me know.
