Unhappy 4x4 please help

i Just bought a 2000 4x4 blaser. when i bought it the Front drive shaft was out. the guy said he took it out because of a grinding noise and later found it was the wheel bearings. he said because the drive shaft was out the t-case motor went bad. i put a used t-case motor in from a junk yard and put the drive shaft back in. now the lights on the push button switch all stay on and they do not respond when pushed. what should i do now? Please Help i do not have money to take it to a shop.

It is a 4 Button switch,, Auto 4X4, 2hi, 4 hi, 4 low, all 5 light are on including the red nutrual light

Did you get the encoder motor off of another NV236 (4-button) equiped vehicle?

The problem with the NV236 system is that it requires a scan tool to pull the codes and really do to many of the diagnostic steps.

One thing that you could try is pulling the switch and testing the resistances of each of the button pushes as well as pulling the TCCM and cleaning the connections. Search for "NV236+resistance" with a username of "swartlkk" and you should find the values that would be found on a working switch.

I inspected the TCCM and found that the wire harness Plug was corroded and the wires were broken. I got a used plug from the junk yard and spliced the wires in, The problem is there is 3 green wires with black stripes and 3 Black wires with strips and i already cut the old plug out
any way how do i tell what what wire is what now?

Plus when i bought the truck the Instrument panel turns on only when the Light switch is turned on. any help ? Thank you
