Default 4x4 switch without electric shift

I just purchased a 4x4 switch off Ebay. It is the 4 button switch and is the same part number as the one that is on my truck right now. In the description on Ebay it says 4x4 switch, dash mount without electric shift. How can that be if it is a switch? Can someone please explain this to me. I hope I got the right part.

That should definitely be electric. Maybe he means that's just the switch panel, and not the actual electronic linkage? Not sure though..

probably referring to the auto shift function-with that or without. JP PS being a 2000(if that is the Blazer your referring to-that feature WAS available that year)

That is just the switch in the dash that will tell the TCCM (transfer case control module) what mode to switch the transfer case into. To know if that is what you need, we really need to know what the problem was. You have 4 basic components of the 4wd control system. Switch on the dash, TCCM, Transfer case encoder motor, and the front axle engagement actuator.

I see your other thread on this subject (probably would have been good to keep this all together) and will respond to that thread as well.

Sorry, I was not looking for troubleshooting help on this, just trying to figure out if it looked to you guys like the switch is the correct one. You can go ahead and delete this thread if you would like.

No need to delete it, just a suggestion for the future. Keeping things together allows those of us trying to help to make the proper recommendations so that you do not waste time/money.

If that's the switch he needs, he's got an additional component to his 4wd... a solenoid that controls the vacuum to the actuator.
