5 speed swap

Default 5 speed swap

i have a 99 zr2 with a 355 and a turbo 350 tranny that lost second gear this morning. the 5 speed i'm putting in is from a 96 the block of my motor is an 84 do i use the 84 fly wheel or will a 96 4.3 fly wheel be weighted the sameand work. i would just like to get an idea of the parts i'm going to need to collect so i haver every thing i need to do it all as fast a possible. i will post pics later in the day gotta head to work.... any help would be great

I would use the 84 flywheel with the appropriate clutch for behind the v8.

thats the motor that was in it when i bought it junk 305

junk 305 on the stand after i pulled it

blazer during the 3 week remodel

motor i got to put in it its actually bored to a 355

4-bolt main

oil pan off the 305 had a 1 peice rear mail the block was an 84 2 peice rear main seal... new pan cost like 230 or something like that i don't think so so i dug out the welder and the die grinder



fuel injected heads off a 96 350
