Default 95 blazer fuel pump problams

I have a 1995 chevy blazer i noticed that the oil pressure was running very high and when i shut off the vehicle the fuel pump stayed running. It stayed on unless i disconnected the battery. It drained the battery and now the fuel pump will not come back on could this be the oil pressure switch or could it be the fuel pump someone please help.

To my knowledge neither the '95s or '96s had an oil pressure to fuel pump cut-off sensor.

Check your oil pressure sending unit, it's mounted next to the distributor. If there is an orange wire and a grey wire in the connector, the sending unit will supply voltage to the fuel pump after the engine shuts off and until residual oil pressure drops below about 7psi. If the pump stays on continually after you shut the engine down, unplug the sending unit connector, if the pump shuts off, the sender is faulty.
