Default 95 blazer problem

Have a 95 lt blazer 4wd and my problem is the truck started idling really rough and come to find out the main harness for the o2 sensor got melted from laying on the exhaust towards the muffler I cut the 4 inch section of wire that was fried and spliced the 4 wires back together and wont start now it never threw the engine light on and can't tell if the engine light is on cause it wont start I put a cold air intake on it and can smell fuel pretty heavily at the filter and I checked the rest of the wire and there are no other shorts in it.. anyone have a clue what might fix this problem...also I noticed that my brakes weren't working quite right I'm guessing it was because the motor wasn't running right but any help would be greatly appreciated

Checked fuses all were good I've got a feeling that it may be the egr valve cause its ran like this before when the egr was stuck in a certain position ill clean it tonight and see what happens
