Hi, im 17 and have a 4x4 s-10 95 blazer. My blazer continues to challenge my growing mechanical skills and now i need help because my father is deployed... i have a automatic but i cant shift into park unless i manualy do it by crawling under and pulling the cable , sorry for lack of termology, and push it into park. is there a way to replace this peice myself and how do i go about going it? thanks for any help . i believe it is called the, automatic transmission linkage.

 

Sounds almost like the shift cable is out of adjustment. I have posted the cable adjustment in another thread and I think it applies to a 95 as well. I would not be able to verify until probably tomorrow night as tonight and tomorrow morning are busy.
