95 ls 4dr 2wd rough running
Just over one year ago my trusty old blazer (176.000 miles) started running rough, missing and finally just died. I took it to a local shop and after replacing the fuel pump, the ecm unit, he told me it needed a new fuel injector unit. Well all told it cost about $1200 which I felt was worth the 13 years of faithfull service.
About 10 days ago it started doing the same things, missing and rough running along with hard starting. I being a handy guy did some research on this site and ordered the Fuel Pressure Regulator kit from Lindertech.com. I also got the EGR gasket with the screen. total cost $ 130.00. including shipping.
I reviewed the step by step process on this site and started on it at 1:00pm I drove it out of the driveway at 6:00pm, and it runs great. This kit replaces the old type FPR with a later model one that is better built.
I just wanted to let people know that if you are having trouble with your S10 running rough the FPR is a snap to replace.
