I justv replaced my injectors on my 98 blazer (also called the spider) bought it through amazon for 179.00. Advanced auto wanted 330.00. It is delphi brand and took me about 3 1/2 hours to do and I`m no pro. Wasnt hard at all. Just saying, if it comes to it, look on amazon

Alright so I stopped by my stepdads shop and was talking to him we decided to just get a fuel pressure regulator and see what happens. And it worked! My truck is running like a champ now. Thank god. You could literally see the gas dripping from the regulator...now I know where all my money was going. But now it starts great and runs and idles like it should. Thank you guys for all your help. I love this forum.

Good job, glad you found it. In the future, if you have a driveability issues, always check fuel pressure and leakdown first. Fuel delivery is critical on these engines.

I will keep that in mind for sure.

As Pettyfog mentioned, the fuel pressure and return lines on the driver side, (inside the plenum) are famous for sprouting leaks too. If the regulator or the lines leak, the excess fuel usually runs into cylinders 3 & 4 and floods them out, but it can also leak past the rings and drain into the crankcase and dilute the oil. Might want to think about changing your oil, now that the leak is fixed

So my problem isn't solved I guess. It ran really good that night but now it is idling worse then before and my gas mileage is a joke ...worse then ever I've driven 75 miles on a half a tank of gas. Thought maybe the MAP sensor was bad, replaced that didn't make a difference so now I am taking it back. SO thinking now maybe fuel pump or injectors. I can hear the fuel pump run so I don't know if that is bad but its under warranty so I might just replace it anyway. I wish I could pinpoint what is wrong this is getting super frustrating I'm just burning gas and wasting money. Maybe I have to go back and re rent a fuel pressure gauge.
Also my step dad and I checked the injectors and they all were squirting gas evenly, could they still be bad even though they appear to function evenly? Could it be the 'nut kit'? I just don't know any other input would be appreciated. Thank you guys

Check fuel pressure and leakdown again. See post #4. If there's a leaky injector, it will show up as excessive leakdown. The leakdown test does not pinpoint leaks, it only indicates if there's a leak in the system. If leakdown is excessive, further diagnosis is necessary to pinpoint the cause. The tool in post #8 will isolate the fuel pump from the components in the plenum. Results from that test will determine if the leak is in the plenum, or in the tank. There's another tool similar to it that one, and it isolates the components in the plenum from the fuel return line. With the results from those two tests, you can determine what's leaking.
