Default looks familiar

I was just searching to update my post when I saw this one. I just solved this problem. It was the spider on mine. The spider was only about 2-3 years old but I let it sit for the summer without starting it. The fuel lines sprung a leak so I finally got around to fixing them. I replaced them but it wouldn't fire, but it start would with ether. I changed the sending unit, fuel pump, filter, regulator. I checked the oil sending unit which seemed to be fine as well as the relay. Still wouldn't go. I finally pulled one of the poppits and put it in a glass jar and tried to turn the engine over. Nothing came out, no gas, not even a drop. I tried 2 more with the same result. So reluctcnly I sent out for a new spider (I didn't want to spend any more money on this but did.) And voila, she fired right up.

I was getting 60 lbs. of pressure, the noid light was flashing, 12 volts of power, etc.. But apparently you can't let these things sit. I dissected the spider but couldn't figure out why a fairly new unit would fail.

Default it lives

as i was replacing the injector assy plug today i thought why do just the plug and put it all back together and tear it down again when and if it still wont start.
so i used the new spider assy i had stashed for later days and with the new plug i did it all in one shot. cranked it over and nothing. i wasnt happy so i tried again and it tried to fire. so i gave it one more try and it fired on the second or third revolution and ran like i had hoped it would. very strong sounding for a brand new rebuild. had 60 psi on the fuel, 75 psi on the oil temp came up to 195 quickly and held strong for over 30 mins durring its first heat cycle.
basically shes running like the race motor she was built to be.
i want to thank all for putting up with my posts and all the suggestions.
i especially want to thank kyle Swartly for his help. that man knows his stuff.
now i get to finish up the little stuff and go play with another fine toy.
