Default 95 S10 4.3 vortec intake

Hello all: Can the intake on the 95 4.3 central tbi be changed to the intake with the regular tbi? Also, does anyone know if the computer on the 95 S10 4.3 be customized to only recognize the sensors to run the engine. We are swapping this engine into a 97 wrangler and am having problems with the ecm - pcm which is all in one unit. Thanks:icon_doh:

I do not recall if the VIN Z (TBI) motor was ever offered with a balance shaft. If it was not, then there could possibly be interference problems with that manifold on the newer VIN W (CPI) motor.

If there isn't an interference problem with the balance shaft, the TBI intake should bolt right on. And so long as you are already aware of the engine management and wiring differences between the two engines, you should be set.
