Default 95 S10 Blazer wont Crank

Sorry if this is posted in the wrong place but it took me 20 minutes to figure out how to even post.....

Anyway buddy has a 95 S10 Blazer with the first generation 4.3 vortec engine this car has never run and was bought as a non runner

Just installed a new starter and new optima yellow top

Turn key nothing happens

Turn Key while jumping starter to crank over engine...no fire

Can't crank engine with key only cranks while jumping starter solenoid

All ready replaced the neutral safety switch on Trans

What's going on here

Ignition relay? Where is it
Starter relay? Where is it

I am pretty fed up with this vehicle and it's not even mine

Any help would be much appreciated

1995 is an odd ball year using 3 different systems, (one of the reasons Oldsmobile did not produce the Bravada in 1995). Is the VCM mounted on the passenger inner fender or under the dash? If it's mounted under the dash: There are two red fusible links that feed the ignition switch. They come from the back of the alternator and run to the ignition switch. When in the START position, the yellow wire on the ignition switch feeds the neutral safety switch. From the neutral safety switch it changes to purple and goes to the starter solenoid. Trace those first and post your results.

How your 95 Chevy S10 Blazer be a first generation engine in it? My '95 Chevy S10 Blazer have the 2nd generation engine in it. Did it ran before at all?

Thanks for the info captain hook I will check that out as soon as I can .......chevyblazer9588 I said it was the first generation vortec I'm not sure but I believe that 1992 was the first year that they used the fuel injected vortec and stopped in 1995 because in 1996 they came out with the second generation vortec engine .....please correct me if I'm wrong ....but at least Wikipedia or Google it before u talk crap please

They changed to the second generation halfway through 95, that's why captain asked if the VCM (engine computer) is mounted on the passenger side fenderwell, to give us a better idea of how to help

Thanks For every ones input, I figured it out

I went to my buddies house and slapped a new battery in it to start the day off, as I was opening the drivers door I noticed a Viper alarm sticker on the window but my buddy doesn't have a alarm remote so I dropped the knee panel or whatever you want to call it right below the steering wheel and what do ya know there used to be an alarm in this truck but the jackasses removed the alarm brain and left a big cluster f!&ck of wiring all half connected....so long story short after three hours with a wiring diagram I managed to re connect all those wires one of which happened to be the ignition hot to the starter solenoid

so problem solved truck fires right up and sounds great hasn't been run in over four years so we had to drop the tank and clean it all out along with the fuel lines and replaced the filter

Thanks
Again
