Default 95 S10 Blazer won't start without starting fluid

Hello, I have a 95 S10 Blazer (4.3 Vortec) that has issues firing up when cold. I have to use starting fluid every morning to get it started, but once started it will run fine. After I turn off the motor, it will have about 2-3 hours where I can start it back up without starting fluid, but if it goes longer than I will need to pop the hood and spray starting fluid into the throttle body.
I just changed the plugs, TP sensor, cap, rotor, fuel filter, and plug wires. The strange thing to me is that it runs absolutely fine once it gets started, but cannot sit too long without requiring starting fluid. The battery power is fine also.... Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Luke

Classic symptom of low fuel pressure and/or excessive leakdown. 1995 used two different injection systems and 3 different computer control systems. We need to know which system you have. Does your engine look like this:

95 could have CMFI or CSFI, and any one of 3 different computer control systems. The OP has CMFI and the link you posted is for CSFI. Different system, different parts, different diagnostics, different specs.

They're both Vortec engines.

Hello Captain Hook and thanks for the input- yes, the picture you posted is the engine I have. Where do you think I should go from here? By the way, I like the verses you posted at the bottom of your page.

Serrasalmus, thanks for posting. I believe the fuel pump is in the gas tank in these- correct? I have never removed a tank before, is it difficult?

yes the tanks located in the pump

Removing the tank is straight simple ... but becarefull not to break the evap port

its a common thing done on these tanks
Just take your time and remove the hoses carefully
