95 vortec spits and sputs but wont start

I have a 1995 blazer with the 4.3 vortex i got the truck it ran rough under 2500 rpm i t was sitting for about a year so i emptied the gas put fresh fuel in it new fuel filter it still ran rough then ran fine for 1.5 to 2 hrs then ran rough stalled and have not started since i check the fuel pressure holds steady at 59 for over 10 min i cranks it it will spit and sputter but wont start and after i stop cranking it still spits and sputters a few time before it stops , There is no check engine light on when it ran i have no more ideas. Any help will be greatly appreciated

after things sit like that i go threw and check simples how good r the plugs,wires,cap,and rotor bug. those could and have cause problems like that.
thats were id start from what uve explained good luck

Could be sticking poppet nozzles or junk in the spider from sitting. Or it could be an ignition problem. Have you looked at the plugs? Are they wet? Black? etc?

Get good parts if you are going to go through and replace things.

i think it was sticking poppets a mechanic friend of mine sprayed some break cleaner in it 2 days ago and let it sit i tryed starting it yesterday it backfired blow a small hole in the exhaust before the cat and started right up run 100% NOW still going to change out plugs tho Thanks for all the help will post pics of the beast soon
