Hello all, Well I have a 95 4.3V with the 8th and 10th vin W S. I belive it has the OBDII reader but am not sure. My issues started about 6 months ago with the oil pressure guage dropping to zero and the engine would run rough and my check guages light would appear. If I gave the engine a rev the light would go out and the pressure would build. ( happend while stopped) So I took the oil pump to be bad and replaced it myself. Not an easy task for one guy in a driveway. No I did not pull the motor. Gave her fresh oil and filter and she ran sweet for about 4 weeks. Then the problem showed itself again. Not as bad as before but rough idle and low oil pressure. Then I was driving and it was very low on fuel, it started acting like it was going to die so I whipped in to the petrol station. Got gas and drove about 1/4 mile and she started acting like she needed gas and died. Pulled off to the side of the road and fired right up, but ran sluggish. 2 days later she died. Changed fuel filter and coil she fired up, ran rough and died. Can't get her to fire back over unless I give her starter fliud. (I don't do this regularly, just to see if she fires) I noticed the schrater valve to be leaking and know I need 60 lbs pressure.( havent tested it as it dose not run to make it to the shop, towing from home is expensive) So from what I have described, dose it sound like the schrater and/or schrater/oil pressure switch or something like fuel pump? Never seemd to have an issue getting fuel before. Thanks in advance,

EDIT: Where can I get a new schrater valve for the fuel rail. I can't find one.

EDIT: Got her to fire over but she runs bad, idles eractic and lopes. wants to die under load. I don't want to be impatient but, any one? anything? I tried the search but did not seem to find any help. thanks again.

EDIT: Again I know. Finally found the right info here. Used the obdII paper clip. Now I got 2- digit codes as follows:
22-TPS or citcuit voltage low.
34-MAP sensor voltage low.
34-MAF sensor signal- Low air flow indicated.
35-IAC valve or circuit.
54-Fuel pump circuit.
Will one of those cause or help to cuase another? If so where should I start to begin the elimination?

EDIT: any one got anything for me?????? I reset the CPU and now it throws no code except the 12. I noticed the starter wire to be loose. I was wondering if that would cuase a rough idle amd dying out.? I read here that it is a circuit. If it is shotring at the starter how will it affect my trucks running? Gusee I need to just take it to a shop as I cant even get an answer here. Boooo

Well, I removed the plenum and BAM!!. Nut kit is leaking. Replaced and have proper PSI and she fired right up. She ran over nite then started fine the next morning. Then she died and will not even crank over. Just a loud ckick or thud when the starter engages. she wont even crank. The battery looses charge fast trying to get the motor to turn. I try the search function but I get the 2 reasons it failed on every search. PLEASE HELP!!! I am stumped as to what could have happend. I am going to remove the plenum again and check it out. Everything seemd fine no visible leaks. If it did leak in the plenum how bad could that be? I also notice an electrical "whir" or slight "buzz" in the alternator when I turn the key to run with out starting. just turn the key to activate the pump and it whirr's or buzzes. Is that normal for the ALT to make a buzzing whirring noise? My batt is less than a year old and is a Optima RED top. seems to hold fine. All connections look good.
