Default 96 Blazer with dead battery.

This problem seems to be getting more and more common. If you have had this issue please chime in and let us know what you did to fix this.

1 guy had his mirrors pissing off the battery... another one the radar detector.... I am not impressed so far.. as these are not my issues..lol.

Well thankfully I have a bat for the boat that is not in use... and I can boost myself... but this is getting embarrassing....hehehe..

any ideas?

Thanks

Jeff

Any accessories that used to work but now don't ? I had a similar problem turned out the power seat switch was bad, disconnected the power to the seat, problem went away.

If you have a volt meter you can test the alternator output by connecting the volt meter to the battery cables while the engine is running. It should read about 14 volts.

You could unhook the battery while the vehicle is not being driven to see if in fact something is draining the battery.

Im having similar problem also, i got a new battery after gettin the old battery and alt. tested, somthing is still drainin my battery, the lights automatically shuf off when i turn the key off, but i double check those everytime and none of them r left on, i have a short on my electric seat also that only wants to randomly work goin back and forth but up and down works fine all the time, could the shorted out eletrical seat control be draing my battery ? this is for 96 blazer

i also volt tested everything after the new battery and charged it and they all were at 14 volts.. i had a fuel pressure regulator replaced recently and thats when i started havingh the dead battery issues..
