Default 96 blazer missing that electric hum and will not start

Truck ran fine Friday but Sunday morning it will not start.
The engine is turning over, battery checks out alright.
-There is a missing electrical hum when I put the key in and turn it, however. I'm not certain if this is the fuel pump.
-The fuel gage goes to full, however I'm pretty certain it was at a quarter tank when I drove it last.
-The battery charge indicator does not move, either. I am pretty certain it jumped when I turned the key before this problem occured.

95/96 Chevy Blazer.

Funds are tight so I cannot Easter Egg. Anyone have an idea, please?

Steve

You should do a fuel pressure test. A quick search will give you the numbers you need to see and how to do the test.

If you don’t hear the ‘hmmm’ before start up, that means the fuel pump isn’t working. Check the fuse first; if that’s ok I’d suspect the pump is dead. It’s a PITA to replace since the pump is in the tank. Fuel injected cars need constant psi to run, so manufactures had to go electric. The electric pumps do a better job at pushing fuel than pulling. So they mount them in tank. Also it helps cool the pump. Try replacing one in the dead of winter with a full tank of gas (27 gal) in a K1500, and nowhere or means of putting the fuel anywhere.
