Default 96 blazer window motor

1996 blazer passenger window doesn't work.; Window is in down position. Using multimeter I checked voltage to window motor connector and its is good to go, therefore its the motor. PROBLEM. I can buy a window motor on Ebay or AutoZone - it comes as window motor only. However, on the vehicle, the motor is rivited to the entire window apparatus. What do I do? Drill rivits out and bolt in new motor? Putting nut/bolt in here isreally tough. IDEAS?

local chevy dealer wants to charge me $250 for labor alone.

thanx

You have to remove the regulator, drill the rivets, remove the motor, then bolt the new motor on and reinstall the regulator.

I just had this same problem. I removed the door panel and then held the up switch and banged on the motor with a screwdriver handle until it went up.
