96 blazer no start

Default 96 blazer no start
Having a bit of a problem with a 96 Blazer with a 4.3L engine. The starter died and after I replaced it, there does not seem to be any spark because the engine keeps cranking over. Tried the old hitting the fuel tank with something while cranking the engine. No start. Wondering... if it could be the fuel pump, relay, or possibly an ignition problem Asking if anyone could give me insight on where to look first. Thanks.
