Default 96 cranks but wont start

I am trying to help my dad get his blazer going again. It will crank and sputter every once and awhile but won't start. I tried some starting fluid and it still wouldn't start. We changed the coil on Sunday and it cranked for longer than usual but it did start. Now dad is calling me a day later and it won't start again. I put it on my scanner. No trouble codes and it had 170rpm when cranking so the crank sensor is working. Is there anything else that would keep me from getting spark?

no spark at the plugs or coil or both? if it's not at the plugs check the coil if none at the coil try a new coil pack and you might be in luck.

coil pack, ign module, distributor pickup.....possibly/probably one of those three items. TEST TEST TEST.
