Default 96 fuel pump in 99 Blazer

Will a fuel pump from a 96 work in a 99 Blazer? I put the engine from a 96 into a 99 Blazer. It runs good untill it warms up, then when you push the gas towards WOT it boggs down. I want to take the fuel pump from the 96 & put it in the 99.

Every part number I look up is different between these two years.

Have you tested the fuel pressure to see if that is actually the source of your problem?

Fuel pumps might should be different. Check the code on the fuel pump, and see which one you have.

Well i bought a fuel pressure tester from harborfreight, spent the whole day working with it untill I found out the pressure tester was no good. Then went to sears & bought one. Worked great. The pressure was 58psi, but would go straight to zero in like 1 second. Does that mean the fuel pressure regulator is bad?? I dont have the fuel pipe shut-off adapter to do the other checks. Should I buy one (where)??

You should be able to make one by adapting to the threaded connection on the end of the fuel filter.
