Exclamation 97 Blazer Idle Issues PLEASE HELP

Hey guys. My problem happens randomly and thats the worst part of it. Sometimes the blazer runs fine and its wonderful, then others it does this.

What is happening is when I am stopped at a red light, stop sign, or just idling before take off, the blazer begins to sputter. It will speed the idle up to around 1500 rpms, then down to 500, back up and down until finally it just dies out. Sometimes, after it dies out its even hard to restart.

When the blazer is doing this, the battery gauge goes down, the gas gauge goes up. The lights will also dim and flicker as it is doing this. If I try to hammer the gas and get it to come out of it, then when I let off the gas it just dies out.

Today I noticed that if I give it more gas to get it out of the sputter, it will go up to around 2000 rpms and it will start to die out. I cleaned the throttle body today and it held at 1000 rpms very well. I turned the blazer off, went inside, returned, started it up, and it was doing the sputtering again. It only does it at idle, mostly stopped. In drive thrus, waiting to turn onto a street, etc. No check engine lights come on or anything, just check gauges once the blazer has actually stalled out.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
