97 blazer no spark
so i picked up this 97 blazer for a buck and i cant get it started. I replaced the coil wire and i still had no spark. so i looked under the blazer and i found that the plug that does into the cam shift crank sensor was bad so i replaced the plug and still have no spark. i hooked a test light up to the negative side of the battery and check the plug that goes into the coil and the test light lit up. then i hooked the test light up the positive side of the battery and i tested the plug and the i had no light from the coil plug. so whats the problem. the blazer has been sitting for over a year. im trying to find another coil to see if thats the problem
take your test light and hook it up to the two wires going to the coil, while holding the test light there, have a friend crank the vehicle over, if the test light flashes then your circut is good and you need a new coil, if not it could be a number of things. test it first and then tell us what you find
