Default 97 blazer no start

Ok i drove my blazer home from work on friday afternoon with no problems and i tried to start it up sunday morning. I had dash lights but nothing from the starter so i figured the battery went dead because the temps got down around single digits on those days. I tested the battery on my dmm and it read 13.0. I took the battery to Autozone to have it tested and the guy told me its no good so i went to Walmart and exchanged mine for a new one. After i hooked the new battery up I still get the same thing, nothing from the starter and the lights dont dim when i try to start it, just a single click from the dash area. Ive been reading around trying to figure it out but havent gotten too far. Can anyone help me?

Bad solenoid on the starter?

Have you tested for power to the small post on the starter while the key is turned to the 'start' position?

remove the starter and bench test it. when you are removing the leads from battery to solenoid see if the internals(where leads connect) spin when you remove the leads. if they spin then you have a bad solenoid. How many miles and is it a factory starter?

I took the starter off yesterday and had my dad bring it down to a local shop while i was working. I guess both the solenoid and starter is no good so ill have to get a new starter and try it out.

i got the new starter in today. i was going to wait until some snow melted and maybe got a little wamer out, but i heard we're getting more snow so i laid out in the driveway and did it today. starter was a lot easier to get in, but the cold really sucked still. the blazer started right up with no problems though.
