There are kits available that are just the fuel pump, but this is an area where many have skimped and ended up repeating the repair in short order. You could try to find a true AC Delco pump only on eBay if you really can't afford an AC Delco or Delphi complete replacement unit, but before doing so, I would check the electrical connection at the top of the pump assembly. They like to overheat and melt and if that is the case, you should replace the entire unit.

thanks for the help. the connection on the pump is good, and the pump is growling when it does run. This started yesterday afternoon, it started this am, but wouldnt start this afternoon, and ran again tonite. Ive never had a pump do that, usually they run or they dont. are those pumps only available on ebay or can you find them at a parts store?

After looking up a few of them on eBay, I question whether they actually are AC Delco pumps as there is no valid AC Delco part number listed. You could try contacting one of the sellers to verify the AC Delco part number for the "repair kit" only, not just the pump assembly (with sending unit etc) PN that it is compatible with. Just search on eBay for "1997 Blazer Delco fuel pump"
