Default 98 4WD Blazer Right Front CV Shaft

I'm replacing my right front CV axle.

I just replaced both upper control arms
so I have some experience here.

As I see it, I need to remove the following;

Wheel, rotor, caliper, backing plate, hub bearing
and wires, clips and what not.

So now I'm down to the knuckle. Do I need to
pop both ball joint's or can I just do one and swing
the knuckle out of the way to pull the shaft out?

I'm told once I have clearance, I can just yank
out or tap the CV shaft past 'this clip' and remove.

I guess what I am uncertain about is where the inner
CV shaft mates with the 'tube' off the differential.

i just did mine and all you need to do now is upper ball joint, knuckle will swing out and with a little monkeying around you can get the axle out of it. Yuo`ll have to pry at the inner shaft to get it out of the tube. Be patient and go back and forth to each side. You`ll get it. I pulled on my axle shaft and pulled it apart trying to take it out

Well that was easy, went smooth. I did end up removing
the lower ball joint (it was bolted on) I was worried about
nothing !
