98 blazer 2wd - front wheel bearing problem
Bought the car with 100K on it, and it has always had the loud hum from front end. Sound will disappear with a sharp lane change - left or right. So assuming that implies both bearings are bad. Have not checked for vertical play on wheels when jacked up.
Question is - how hard is the job w/o air tools, should alignment be done afterwards, and any parts recommends would be very helpful.
Quote was $340 including labor - not sure if Duralast or Timkin - assuming the cheaper of the two.

Really pretty easy IMO. Heres the Mitchel instructions. But if you have ever done disc breaks on a 2 wheel drive and replace the front rotors its really not much harder to do the bearings too. And i have never done a front end alighnment after messing with front rotors or bearings youll be fine without it.
