So here's my question. I want to put on my blazerone of those rear hitch bike racks. The bike rackfits 2in and 1.25in receiver hitches. My Blazer has the stockbumper ball hitchon it that max load I believe is 350lbs. The bike rack doesn't hook up to the ball, it needs a receiver hitch instead. Is there a conversion I can get to go from a ball to some type of receiver hitch to hook up one of these bike racks? Because I am using the stock bumper ball hitch it seems if there are limitations for using anything besides the ball hitch.
Thanks!
Thanks!

I've never seen a "receiver adapter" for a ball hitch. I doubt they are out there because you would not be able to get any stability out of it. You wouldn't be able to put anything over the ball on the bumper that wouldn't flop around.

Don't bother with the receiver-kind of bike rack because I'm fairly certain there isn't such a conversion out there.
Better yet, BELL makes a bike rack specifically designed to attach to the lift gate of an SUV. Normally, you can find a product like this at your local Wal-Mart.

There is one available. Thanks for all the encouraging advice. It actually is kind of nice because if you have an actual receiver and hitch with a boat you can still use this for your bikes. Now you can travel with bikes and boats! Check it out.

Not sure why it was stated that they do not exist unless there was some miscommunication going on here. I have seen both bumper mount (bolt on) and receiver hitch style bike mounts and some that still allow for a lift gate optioned truck to fully open the rear gate with the rack still in the hitch.
So do you require one that bolts on or slides into the receiver? I think this is just a case of miscommunication here. Maybe a picture of what you have and what you want to accomplish?
*EDIT* - I just re-read your original post (is a bit confusing) and I think I know what you are asking. I believe you are looking for a receiver hitch adapter that would bolt to your bumper. This maybe what the others were talking about when they stated that they do not exist. They used to (I have 2 sitting upstairs in my dad's barn, one with a spring cushioned mount), but with so many trucks having very light bumpers now, liability and common sense won over and no one makes them any longer. You could make up your own mount if all you were interested in was putting a bike rack on it. The bumper is plenty strong enough for that. Some metal and a welder is all you would need.

Well I did purchase a bolt on bike rack. Iused the existing hole for a ball on the rear bumper(I had to cut away the plastic to reveal the hole). You don't even usethe ball at all, just the hole for the bike rack. I think Chevy calls it a bumper ball hitch and comes standard when you buy the car. But to actually use it you need to cut away the plastic. Most people probably don't even know it's there. I am trying to get that good gas mileage on my trip you know. Not sure how much wind resistance it causes with bikes on the roof. I just feel better with them behind the car. The bike rack also bends down so you canopen the rear gate without taking off the rack. Costme 58$ fora 2bike rack.Seems strong and sturdy.

I'm not sure what the actual versatility of the bumper hitch is.... I'm debating installing an after market tow hitch to tow a small u-haul moving trailer. Does anyone know what the bumper hitch is actually rated at? Or does anyone use it to tow? Recommend using bumper or safer to get after market hitch?
Thanks.
