Default 98 Blazer LT 4 door Passenger Side Seat Belt Installation

I have a 98 LT 4 door 4x4.

The passenger side female part of the seat belt needs to be replaced. I have purchased a new one and wonder what the installation process for this might be?. The old one does not latch when the belt is inserted in.

I would like some advice on the installation process.

Thanks

not sure but you might have to remove the passenger seat to get to the bolt that holds it.

Hey! The seat does have to come out! The bolt has A T-50 torx head. This is threaded through the floor in a reinforced area. You will not be able to get this out by hand, however! When I had to do this on the male assembly on the drivers side of my 97 it required a torch and liberal blasts of PB blaster while it was still hot(working underneath-be cautious!) and an impact gun to free this bolt! This bolt is probably torqued to some outrageous figure(200 lbs +) I have heard that GM will fix seat belts for free for the life of the vehicle, but have never experienced this myself! Easy fix and necessary,so get on it!

I did have to take the seat out. Thanks for the heads up on the torx head bolt. Had that part covered. The part that I am still unsure about is that the seat belt had a wire on it. I could not find any where this would plug into. For a power seat? My seat on the passenger side is not powered. Suggestions?
