Default 98 blazer no spark

Hello everyone. My blazer will not get spark! At the harness that plugs into the coil, I get power with the key on, but shouldn't the other wire pulse while cranking? it's not. It's got a new ICM, rotor, cap and wires. any thoughts? I'm thinkin Crank position sensor.

How are you testing for spark?

If the CKP sensor were faulty, it should set a code.

First I used a test light at the end of the coil wire, (where it plugs into distributor) then at the coil, now I'm checking the harness that plugs into the coil. Am I correct with my info on this harness? I know one of those wires should pulse while cranking, which one? The pink stays on steady w/ key on, then while cranking no pulse. there is pink and white/black stripe. I thought the white wire should pulse. As far as codes, the check engine light is on, but I cant drive it anywhere to pull codes. All relevant fuses are good.

And thanks for replying!

I wouldn't be testing it the way you are. A jumper wire with aligator clips on the ends to ground a spark plug is all you need to test the coil. Put a spark plug wire onto the coil, then a plug into the other end. Ground the plug and watch for a spark as you turn the engine over.

I've already done that and have determined there's no spark, and am trying to determine why. Can someone clarify: which wire on the harness that plugs into the coil is supposed to pulse while cranking?
