98 blazer parking brake trouble
ok im changin the parking brake shoes out on my blazer.Well in doing so i noticed that the left side adjusment screw/nut assembly didnt have this little pin inside it that goes between the two adjusment screw like the right side did.Well i put it together anyway and to bthe left rotor/drum went right on easily on the left side, wellon the right side the shoe pads were hard to get on and i had to use a screwdrive to pry it a little onto the adjuster screws.I turned the adjuster screw all the way in and back out a 1/4 turn like im suppose to.well i got the pads on finally and now the right side rotor/drum will not go over the new pads like it did before i put the new pads on.I know that pin is suppose to be inside the screw adjusters and parking brake actuator on the left side like it is on the right side correct. Are the shoes kinda hard to get onto the adjuster assembly? Also what is the reason i cannot get this drum over the new pads on the right side.I think i would have the same problem with the nleft side if that adjuster screw pin was in there like the right side is.Could this be where i aint used my parking brake in like two years and rust has built up or whats going on cause the rotors/drums went over the pads before i put the ne ones on?
