Default 98 Blazer problem starting

I have a '98 Blazer with over 120,000. It will not start after driving for a long time, about an hour. It will start after cooling off for 30 - 45 minutes. The last time it did this I noticed that I couldn't hear the fuel pump running when turning the key on. I waited about 5 minutes and turned the key on and could hear the fuel pump, then it started. I also read that low oil pressure could stop the fuel pump from running. Is this true?

Thanks

The fuel pump is going. Replace that before it doesn't start at all. Install a new fuel filter while you're under there.
