OK, well I thought it was fixed. I got up Monday morning, about 4, drive to work, everything seemed fine. Got back in it about 2 hours later, and it wouldn't start again. This time, gas was spilling out of the top of the tank, like a hose came loose. Tried to get my hand up in there to feel around, but I guess my arm is too short. Now I have to call a tow truck to drag it home, and in the meantime, I get to ride the Harley in 30 degree weather. Guess I'll drop it again this weekend and see where I went wrong. Hope I didn't break a fitting on the pump.

Ok, obviously, the engineers who designed this pump do not want me working on it! As I was lowering the tank so that I could gain access to the blooming hose that had indeed come loose, the very fitting the loose hose was somewhat attached to broke! Thats right, a $300 fuel pump, now worth nothing! Its not like I can't wrench. I work on howitzers (you can see my babies on Future Weapons), and I do all my own routine maintenance, on both Chevys and my Harley. But whoever thought to make the fittings out of plastic, and to only have enough hose to reach the fitting, with no available slack, should be drawn and quartered! Guess I'll take the hint and let some other greasemonkey tinker with my Blazer.
