About a week ago my truck was overheating so i replaced the water pump and now the truck runs at perfect operating temp. However now i am getting a cylinder 2 misfire. So i replaced the spark plug and replaced all the spark plug wires. Still getting a rough idle and a code for cylinder 2 misfire. There is oil resadue left on the spark plug which i believe is because the cylinder is not firing. I ended up doing a compression check and sure enough the other cylinders are running at 150lbs while cylinder 2 is pushing only 60lbs. What i am asking is whether its a blown head gasket or warped head, while this be an expensive fix even if i decide to do the work. Also does anyone have any information on magnafluxing of warped heads?

well if your planning on doing the head gasket yourself, you can kill two birds with one stone. once you have the head off to replace the gasket, all you need to do is get a straight edge and a feeler gauge.
lay the straight edge across the head and get a thickness from the feeler gauge that will fit between the two, but is a little tight. run it across and if you find a spot that allows the gauge to be inserted/pulled out easier than the others than you might have a warped head. you can also do this to the block as well.
honestly i'm just gonna say its a head gasket but before you take anything off, run down to a parts store and pick up a kit to test and see if it is the head gasket. and this shouldn't cost much to do yourself, just some time and know how

Did you squirt any oil in the cylinder after the first comp. test and see if it goes up?? if it goes up alot then it might be a ring!! Then you might need a long block or rebuild!!
