Default 98 timing cover leaking

Had my motor overhauled, oil slowly seeping out of timing cover took back to shop they have replaced it twice and still cant stop the slow leak, They have been using after market parts now they are going to install GM parts, hoping that will fix the leaking , any body have similar problem, the shop has a good rep and have been rebuilding motors for years clean very its freaking them out too. they said they have to pull trans back to install new parts correctly

Default

might not be the cover but a valve cover gasket or the oil cooler lines those are very common for leaking

Default oem parts, timing cover

is their a visible difference between an aftermarket timing chain cover and a oem part ? Is the oem cover thicker and is the gasket better ?
