Default 99 Blazer ABS light issue

I did some searching but could not find my exact problem, please excusse me if this has been answered before. I don't have a scanner that can read ABS codes so i'm hoping someone has ran into this. I have a 99 Blazer 2wd that has been giving me an abs light only after starting the vehicle and idling for a min or 2. As soon as i start moving the light turns off and does not come on again untill the next time i start the vehicle and idle. It doesn't happen every time but it never comes on while driving or waiting at a red light, only when first starting the vehicle and before moving.

Thanks in advance,
James

Well, this must be scanned to determine the exact problem. But first do a full inspection of all sensors at each wheel! A physical inspection usually finds issues with sensor leads. If braking performance is not diminished when the lamp is lit and no "groaning" noises are heard upon application, then concider a failed ABS unit.If the pedal feels "right" and this problem persists, that confirms my suspicions! You can always pull the ABS fuse and maintain regular brake function, just without ABS.Look for leaks as well! Let us Know!

Pedal feels good and braking performance has not been affected. The light never does come on while driving though. I did jack up the front and inspect everything when I got home today. Everything looks good with the exception of some play at the front right wheel bearing. I'm a bit upset about the play, I just put two new hubs on from Napa a little over a year ago and of course the warranty was only for 1 year. The abs sensor is part of the hub, could the play in the bearing effect the abs?

Try putting some di-electric grease in the sensor connectors.
