what is the gas tank size 18 or 20 gal.

 

I think my owners manual says 18 gal but it sure seems smaller than that to me....99 LT 4x4 4 Door. Even when the low fuel light comes on and I fill it up it doesn't take more than 13-14 gallons.

 

I have a 2000 4x4 4-door & mine is 18 gallons.

 

Same here 13 to 14 gal when the light comes on

 

The 4 doors have an 18 gallon tank and the 2 doors have a 19 gallon.

 

Thats how they all are. It how the GM designed it. You still have roughly 4-5 gallons left when the light comes on

 

It is an 18 gallon tank but you cant even fill it up all of the way because of air pockets at the top of the tank (have you ever seen someone rocking thier car when they are filling up) and the light comes on when you have roughly 50 more miles worth of gas left or 4 to 5 gallons.
